Wilmington Community Unit School District is a four-school district located in the Kankakee River Valley, 50 miles southwest of Chicago. Our close-knit community walks united with our schools every day to set our students up for excellence in our K–12 schools and beyond.
We invite you to take the time to get to know our district and our schools. We know you’ll be impressed by all that we offer our community. Along with classrooms steeped in rigorous curriculum, our students enjoy valuable health services, and our foundation provides the resources needed for exceptional instructional opportunities. If you have any questions about our school, please give us a call.
A Message from Our Superintendent
Dear Wilmington Families,
Welcome to the 2023–2024 school year. Our faculty and staff look forward to another successful year where we continue to focus on our mission, "School and Community United for Excellence in Education." Our community and schools always work collaboratively, supporting each other to ensure every student has access to high-quality programs and opportunities. This collaboration has been critical to the ongoing success of our school district.
As the Wilmington School District superintendent, my goal is to ensure that every student receives an exceptional education that prepares them for a successful future. Together, we will strive to create a learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff in the academic and extra-curricular arena and look forward to continued success in these areas during the 2023–2024 school year.
I am excited to begin my 27th year as a Wilmington Wildcat and look forward to working with our students, staff, parents, and community members throughout this academic year. Wildcat pride runs deep within our school and community, and we will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do during this 2023–2024 school year.
Go Cats,
Kevin Feeney
